Goal Setting Activity In 2 Simple Steps
Stop,
Think, Plan.
What is it that you want to do and/or get done this
summer?
Thinking about your goals and planning them out is the best way
to ensure they are accomplished. The fun summer ideas below will
get you started.
**Do the following as the warm weather
approaches, and reevaluate your aims half way through the summer. This
will guarantee that you don't lose sight of what you want to have
accomplished this sunny season.**
- Make a list of things you want to achieve (see the list below
for some fun ideas).
- Next, look at your calendar to see when you can do
these activities and pencil them in. Now they are official, so stick to
the plan!
Don't forget to include relaxation time in the goals to set for yourself. Summer is the
so-called "slow" season, and now is the time to set aside some days for
total R & R to be refreshed for the busyness of the fall and holiday season.
Look at your calendar and
reserve some time (maybe one day a week) for what you find relaxing.
Whether it is to lay by the pool or cozy up on the couch with a good
book, you will thank yourself for this down time!

4 Event Planning Guidelines
Whether
you're planning a small barbecue with friends or a huge blowout with
everyone in town, organization must be in the mix. The most important
thing is to keep things simple...
- Decide what kind of party
you want to throw. Ask yourself questions to figure out the theme,
attire, food, decorations, and so on.
For example, is it formal?
informal? outside? inside? daytime? nighttime? Does it have a theme? Are
you making all the food? Are the guests each bringing a dish? Do you
want to hire a party planning service to take care of the details? - Decide on a date and inform the guests. For less formal occasions, send out an Evite. This saves time and paper!
- Make a time line and stick to it. Working backwards from the date of the event, pencil all the tasks that must get done into calendar to be sure you're ready on party day.
- Enjoy the party!

Extra Fun Stuff To Do
1. Planning a party? Gather your donation items (that are in good condition) to distribute to your guests as party favors.
2.
Bring your To Do list outside and get it done in the warm summer sun.
For example, you can open the mail, make your phone calls, pay your
bills, and get your reading done, to name a few.
